Internet Marketing Thoughts for 2009
Another year’s under our belts and somehow I feel younger. It has become blatantly obvious to me that you really need to be an acrobat in the world of internet marketing. With software updates, social networks, PPC strategies, SEO planning and Analytics you are only governed by lack of mental energy/ mental grasp. There’s so much to take in and I think few business people online would disagree with me.
What Does Bruce Clay Have to Say About Personal Search
I am forwarding your way what the big man of SEO thinks (Bruce Clay). 2009 is the year where ranking is at the hands of personal search. Does this mean that your website can be removed from search results by anyone? Yes it does, but not for everyone else; the search is personalized the way you want it. If you decide to give the site a big thumbs down, it is gone from your search results at Google.
What Does Matt Cuts Have to Say About Personal Search
One of the things I respect with Matt is his strong knowledge base of black and white hat SEO. I agree with his opinions on the real SEOers making the transition into conversion and marketing. It’s not the quantity of visitors it’s the quality. Coming from an SEO, PPC and Analytic perspective these are simple words of wisdom. Today, the best strategy is to tighten up the relationship of the 3 G’s. What are the 3 G’s? They are 3 necessary elements to include in your online marketing arsenal- Google organic ranking, Google AdWords and Google Analytics. If you pull the 3 G’s closer together in your online strategies you will find pleasant ROI.
Robert’s Tip for 2009
Anyone reading this has probably gathered I swear by data driven decisions. In 2009 we need to relax and take more in around us. Look, feel, and touch- understand and enjoy more of the moment. Do not let influences around you cause a self-fulfilling prophecy to fall upon you. When you hear times are tough, economy sucks, depression, broke, blah, blah, blah, continue your positive perseverance, it will pay off and be contageos.
Website Analytics Tip
Use Google Analytics to find the most engaging keywords on your website. To do this you will need to determine conversion and configure goals. When you find the most engaging keywords expand on them. Use keyword tools to help you find the most related keywords and long tail phrases.
