What is Expert Verbiage?

So what’s it all about? I keep hearing the bellows from SEOers “expert verbiage“. Here’s why it is important to you. Experts talk, when they do people tend to listen. It would make all the sense in the world to me that Google learns how to spot expert terms in all content they index. How do they do that? It’s just an educated guess but I believe it relates directly to who Google considers trusted or favored. That actually comes directly from the horse’s mouth in Google’s Patent (app #60171020).

How would Google know the way pros talk? In most cases it is only experts that can recognize expert verbiage but if you think about it this would not be difficult to determine algorithmically. Here’s what I strongly believe Google’s AI (artificial intelligence) does. It is not just expert verbiage in content, it is the entire document. Additionally, how many other expert (authority links) cast their votes (link to) to this page. It doesn’t stop there! Have you ever hear terms like Co-Occurrence Data or Bayesian logic? How about LSI and LSA? Also, what if Google measures visitor retention (length of time on site)? Finally how many people go to the site (life of the party sites)?

What is Search Engine Optimization?

Well, if you ask me there is very little luck to ranking in the top ten fold. These days, if you are in the top fold for desired key phrases, it’s probably because you deserve to be there. Quality score filters and search engine technology have come too far to make a mistake placing a garbage site where it does not belong. So, if you are a top 10 ranker congratulations, you deserve it.

Let me ask you a question that will require thought and honesty, “Are you ranking well because your site is well SEOed or because it is really a wholesome site”? This question is important because Search engine algorithms are approaching human intelligence levels. The goal of every search engine engineer is to answer the question (search query) like a human. Now, I will ask the question again, what is Search engine Optimization?

Did anybody notice the economic platform at Google has been rapidly evolving lately? “The winds of change” are here today, right here, and now.

This applies to both PPC and organic results that are served when someone enters a phrase into the all mighty Google Search.

Advertisers have to be kept happy and Google knows that. Google is bringing the 2 worlds together. . . natural and PPC. They are moving forward in small but certain steps. Part of success from this program used to be derived from the longer a company spends bidding on a particular phrase, the lower the cost per acquisition. An example of this is if we had a company that was bidding on a term such as “home security” for the last few years thier cpc (cost per click) may be $4. If a new company entered the marketplace and wanted the same term for the same ad position they may have to pay $6-7 for the same click. Presumably, the reason for this is fundamental business or a loyalty bonus.

Copywriter, seo style has taken a turn and for search engine optimization seo copywriting. You better be abreast of the way the engine algorithms respond to the various types of content. As an internet marketing researcher I will say any copywriter service would benefit from content testing but at the end of the day it is people that matter.
