A Few Ways to Increase Adsense Earnings
Posted on November 29, 2007
I was doing a little digging in the community of Adsense publishers today. I thought that the information I was reading would be helpful to other Adsense publishers that want to increase their earnings.
There are many interesting new ideas for publishers that I was un ware of. Did you know you can add Adsense videos to your website? It is funny, I discovered this while viewing a YouTube video on Adsense advice. As you can see below there are many publishers that are will to share tips and advice with you. Heck, some of them even share their own secrets.
If there is one point I am reading loud and clear from all publishers is that earning have dropped considerably across the board for ALL publishers. It confirms my most believed tip, don’t count on Adsense earnings as primary income. It is passive income no matter what level you are at. Remain focused on your real expertise and Adsense will be a sweet reward. Please do not fall into the trap that many did in 2004-2005 when AdSense actually produce amazing revenues. In 2004-2005 I bought a house with Adsense earnings alone. Today my earnings are 15% of what they used to be. All publishers have seen dramatic decreases in earnings, some more than others. I have not spoken to one publisher in the last year that has said earnings increased.
It is still a good program for webmasters that want to monetize their site, just not like the good old days!
Page rank and search engine rankings play a major role in your earnings. There are also publishers that are making sites just for Adsense and have no other purpose. These publishers generally use Adsense templates that are optimized for earnings. The only problem with that is Google knows all about MFA and rumor has it a devaluing of sorts takes place on MFA sites. But they seem to be respecting MFA as a business model.
It doesn’t change the bottom line that for publishers this program remains the best paying, easiest to administer and use program. In a matter of minutes your personal blog, company blog, political blog, website or forum can be displaying these targeted ad units.
I Hope You find These Tips Helpful

Profiting from Adsense
Posted on September 6, 2007
You’ve probably heard a lot about Google AdSense, but you may not know just what it is. Well, for one thing, it’s a one of the hottest new ways to make money online without having to do a whole lot. If you’ve read Robert Kiyosaki’s book, “Rich Dad, Poor Dad”, you know that passive income is the best kind of income to have.
You’ll have to invest just a little bit of time in learning about it, but once you get it set up you can look forward to seeing those nice checks roll in. Or, if you’re totally online, seeing money flow into your PayPal account.
Google AdSense is a fast and absolutely ridiculously easy way for people with websites of all types and sizes to put up and display relevant Google ads on the content pages of their site and earn money.
So what kind of ads do you have to put up? That’s the good part. You don’t have to decide. Google does it for you. AdSense always delivers relevant ads that are precisely targeted on a page-by-page basis to the content that people find on your site. For example, if you have a page that tells the story of your pet fish, Google will send you ads for that site that are for pet stores, fish food, fish bowls, aquariums. You get the picture.
Here’s the thing you need to know: Google has no strict criteria for acceptance into the AdSense program, and Ad Sense doesn’t hit you with a minimum traffic requirement. The only criteria they’re really sticky about is the standard “acceptable content” requirements, and that’s pretty standard almost anywhere.
Once you’ve been accepted into Google AdSense, you’ll be able to get the AdSense advertisements on any site you own using the same ad code, provided you obey the Google guidelines. (And that’s very, very important more on that later.)
It’s easy to get started with AdSense and it only takes a few minutes. You fill out one single online application and that’s it. Once you’re approved, it takes only minutes to set up AdSense; all you have to do is copy and paste a designated block of HTML into the source code for your site. Once you do that, targeted ads will start showing up on your website and start watching those nice checks roll in.
While i can’t guarantee results, of course, since a lot of your success lies in your own hands, i wouldn’t have written this article if i didn’t believe in the power of Google AdSense. A lot of webmasters are making a lot of money off of AdSense, and there’s no reason you shouldn’t be one of them.
To date, comparisons of AdWords rates with AdSense earnings add up to commissions of between 40% and 60%. People speculate all the time on user boards as to why Google refuses to publish its commission rates, but no one has the answer. It might have something to do with legal reasons or it could just be that Google wants to retain the ability to change rates without having to send out an announcement about it each time, which costs money.

How to Become Rich with Adsense
Posted on July 11, 2007
If anyone want to monetize their websites, the great way to do it is through Adsense. There are lots of webmasters struggling hard to earn some good money a day through their sites. But then some of the “geniuses” of them are enjoying hundreds of dollars a day from Adsense ads on their websites. What makes these webmasters different from the other kind is that they are different and they think out of the box.
The ones who have been there and done it have quite some useful tips to help those who would want to venture into this field. Some of these tips have boosted quite a lot of earnings in the past and is continuously doing so.
Here are some 5 best proven ways on how best to improve your Adsense earnings.
1. Create a custom palette for your ads. Choose a color that will go well with the background of your site. If your site has a white background, try to use white as the color of your ad border and background. The idea to patterning the colors is to make the Adsense look like it is part of the web pages. Again, This will result to more clicks from people visiting your site.
2. Concentrating on one format of Adsense ad. The one format that worked well for the majority is the Large Rectangle (336X280). This same format have the tendency to result in higher CTR, or the click-through rates. Why choose this format out of the many you can use? Basically because the ads will look like normal web links, and people, being used to clicking on them, click these types of links. They may or may not know they are clicking on your Adsense but as long as there are clicks, then it will all be for your advantage.
3. Try to automate the insertion of your Adsense code into the webpages using SSI (or server side included). Ask your web administrator if your server supports SSI or not. How do you do it? Just save your Adsense code in a text file, save it as “adsense text”, and upload it to the root directory of the web server. Then using SSI, call the code on other pages. This tip is a time saver especially for those who are using automatic page generators to generate pages on their website.
4. Maintain links to relevant websites. If you think some sites are better off than the others, put your ads there and try to maintaining and managing them. If there is already lots of Adsense put into that certain site, put yours on top of all of them. That way visitor will see your ads first upon browsing into that site.
5. Remove the Adsense from the bottom pages of your site and put them at the top. Do not try to hide your Adsense. Put them in the place where people can see them quickly. You will be amazed how the difference between Adsense locations can make when you see your earnings.
These are some of the tips that have worked well for some who want to generate hundreds and even thousands on their websites. It is important to know though that ads are displayed because it fits the interest of the people viewing them. So focusing on a specific topic should be your primary purpose because the displays will be especially targeted on a topic that persons will be viewing already.
Note also that there are many other Adsense sharing the same topic as you. It is best to think of making a good ad that will be somewhat different and unique than the ones already done. Every clickthrough that visitors make is a point for you so make every click count by making your Adsense something that people will definitely click on.
Tips given by those who have boosted their earnings are just guidelines they want to share with others. If they have somehow worked wonders to some, maybe it can work wonders for you too. Try them out into your ads and see the result it will bring.
If others have done it, there is nothing wrong trying it out for yourself.

Google AdSense Making it Work for You

About Google Adsense
The Google AdSense is a program designed by Google that can make advertising revenue for your site. Google AdSense is available in many languages. Websites are being created everyday all over the world, using this potentially huge moneymaker to their advantage. This program is owned and operated by Google and is known as Google AdSense. AdSense has proven to be a great way to make extra money any day, anytime even even when you are on vacation. The AdSense program is a great way to increase your earnings online. Google AdSense is a rock solid Pay per Click program that will be here for a long time. For webmasters that don’t know about it you’re missing out. From my experience Google AdSense is worth the bother of the sweet, simple installation that starts displaying money making ads the minute you install it.
Good Content, Placement and Keyword Density
Once you are approved Google starts by sending their AdSense Bot to your site to determine the theme. It is also rumored that The AdSense Bot is helping Google index more sites . Google maintains that the AdSense bot has no affect on your natural ranking in the Google index but is a great tool for helping them index and detect cloaked pages. However, once your site is crawled relevant text and/or Image ads will appear. Websites with genuinely helpful content and relevant incoming links will help establish your website as an authority. Once your are seen as an authority site your AdSense earnings tend to climb rapidly. When preparing and placing your content, use the correct keywords, density and headings tags on the page so the AdSense Bot can easily determine relevant ads to display. Arguably, good content is one of the most important elements to have on your site for best AdSense Results. Good, helpful, original and relevant content is adored by the search engines. Most will agree that “Content is King” online.
Best Ad Placement?
You won’t get very many click thrus if you hide your ads, on the other hand MFA (Made for AdSense) sites are getting devalued by Google and so they should. I have my best success with ads with content integrated (blended) with your ads. You can apply any color scheme you wish to your ads and many webmasters like to blend ads with their website’s color theme. If you want to optimize your potential AdSense revenue, stay on topic with high update frequency (more spiderable content added).
Website Requirements
The only real essential requirement is you need to have a website. The size of your website really doesn’t matter although I recommend at least 5 finished, functional pages. Try to get other website’s linking to your website, the engines see this as a vote to your site and it can have a positive effect on your rankings. It is believed that your website’s ranking has a strong influence on your EPC See Adwords News or Smart Pricing. You will need traffic (visitors) to your site to earn money; many ads that you display on your site will likely be in the area of .01 cent to $1.00 per click but don’t be too surprised when you see $2, 3 or my highest $9/click. There are a few acceptations that are not accepted in the Google AdSense program. That being the case, read the reason why you were rejected, implement the necessary changes and reapply. Themed, content rich, well raked sites seem to be the secret to optimized earnings with AdSense. Many webmasters already have a website full of quality content, but have yet to discover the potential of this great program. With Google, you must comply with their program policies, they really do not mess around with any form of fraud. Google keeps a close eye on how their ads are displayed and they will ban you immediately if you break the TOS. They are known to have some of the finest click fraud detection software in the world.

Google AdSense Basics
Posted on May 22, 2007
If you really need to know, your earnings can be checked anytime by logging into your web site account. There are many different ways to optimize your earnings with AdSense, but I have always found best results on sites that have an established product line. One myth about AdSense earnings is that the most important factor in making good money is traffic. There is other equally, or perhaps ever greater influencing factors at work here. So let’s take a look at what you can do to optimize your set up easily and get to know the program.
Does your Site Qualify?
Who can participate in the Google AdSense program? Anybody who has a website can apply to Google AdSense program; there are few an exceptions such as gambling and pornography. When you are accepted and first log into your account you will see your statistics “Page impressions, Clicks Page, CTR, Page eCPM, Earnings”. You can learn more about what it all means here https://www.google.com/adsense/. Traffic to your site is a necessary ingredient but your website’s ranking plays a major role in determining your EPC (Earnings per Click). Some argue that without traffic you have nothing. This is true but I have a few blogs that get significantly more impressions and clicks but earn much less than the few clicks I get from well ranked sites. If you are making a site primarily for AdSense revenue then go after high paying keywords https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordSandbox. When your site is about a subject where advertisers are paying some dough for them, then you will likely receive a higher EPC with AdSense.
How to Make Money
I prefer AdSense not only because of the conversion rate but it can seamlessly be integrated into any site in seconds. One technique used by many of the pros is being able to find niche market(s) and expanding it quickly. Value for money is always different for every site so there are no real hard and fast rules. FACT: 95% of affiliates never make a sale. The other 5% are making money. Many are realizing that good money can be made with this program especially with a well respected, high traffic website. When it is time to start displaying ads on your site Google AdSense Bot will read your WebPages and serve those pages with ads that are relevant. There is a maximum of 3 ad units per page No doubt that AdSense is the best program out there for the masses, but we must always be planning other ventures. AdSense revenue alone is not a recommended prime source of revenue.
Authoritative Content
In the world of monitor real estate there is a term I am sure you’ve heard; “Above the fold”. Content that is below the fold translates to having to scroll. Sites that have useful, non-duplicated content will also help establish you as an authority and that effects how much you will earn. If your content reflects an expert in your industry it will permit visitors to respect your comment and recommendations. In the case where you establish placement for your special “News Corner” AdSense Ads tend to fair better in these locations. Google always attempts to find the most suitable ads for your websites content but sometimes the inventory may be low for your theme and ads may not appear relevant. If your site has content that is about real estate, you would likely want to see advertisements promoting mortgages, moving, Home Loans, Free Home Reports or Investment Loans. Most of the publishers that are making thousands of monthly dollars have plenty of unique, popular and authoritative content. This is why I think it is so important to become an authority first. Traffic will come; if it doesn’t you can buy it from many places. Google uses a very complexed number of algorithms to decide the content contained on the web page serving the ad and where the ads are best served

Six Reasons Why Google AdSense is So Important to Content Sites
Posted on May 3, 2007
HOW ADSENSE WORKS.
Before you can understand why Google AdSense is so important to content sites, it is important to know how AdSense works. The concept is really simple. The publisher or the webmaster needs to inserts a java script into his webpage. Each time the page is accessed, the java script will pull advertisements from the Google server. The ads that are targeted should therefore be related to the content that is contained on the web page serving the ad. If a visitor clicks on an advertisement, the webmaster serving the ad earns a portion of the money that the advertiser is paying the Google for the click. The Google handles all the tracking and payments, providing an easy way for webmasters to display content-sensitive ads without the hassle of soliciting advertisers, collect funds, and monitor the clicks and statistics.
BENEFITS OF GOOGLE ADSENSE
• One of the most impressive advantages of AdSense is that Google has a huge database of advertisers that are looking for space. Because of this huge base of advertisers, AdSense can provide you with a steady stream of advertisers that can match just about any type of content that you can think of. Advertisers are segregated based on product, service, geography, and company size. This helps to both provide local advertisement opportunities to companies, as well as provide your site with relevant content.
• Another no cost benefit that AdSense offers is the use of their Google search box technology. You can add this feature to your website, which will encourage visitors to stay at your website longer, and it will encourage them to return to your site. You can even earn money from this technology. When a visitor enters a keyword or keywords the results appear in a box at the top of your web page. You earn money for every ad that they click on that was generated from their search.
• In addition to these benefits you also are able to control what kinds of ads that you want displayed on your website. You can filter out ads from specific company genres, and you can also filter out companies that compete with what you are trying to sell. You can also design the look of the ads that are displayed on your website. You can choose their color pallet, layout, and size of the ads that are displayed, and where they appear on your website. Finally, you can customize your AdSense to run on only certain pages of your website. All of these options allow you to stay in control of how AdSense is displayed to your customers.
• There isn’t a fee to participate in AdSense, however, you do need to invest time in setting up AdSense features and filters. You will also have to pay for the design, hosting, and domain name of your website. These set up costs should be minimal depending on the complexity of your web site. There are free website hosting sites available and often home page hosting is provided as a free service with your ISP. To determine if your ISP offers free hosting and web page design assistance you should contact your ISP representative.
• While most ads that promote this type of affiliate program boast of fast and easy money, if you truly want to make money with this program there is going to be substantial work involved. In order for you to make money, you will need to attract visitors to your website. To do this you will need to provide your viewers with quality content that appeals to a large audience. One popular way to do this is to provide a blog of current events, issues, opinion, commentary, etc. Another way is to produce original content that people will drool over. Be creative. There is a lot of competition out there, so learn how to produce content that will top the search engine results, and learn how to use keywords to your advantage in order to attract more viewers.
• Adsense is essential for content sites because it has come a long way in understanding the needs of publishers and webmasters that allows full ad customization. The different formatting expands the possibility of more clicks from visitors who may not be aware of what they are clicking on. Thus making them take the next step of clicking on a relevant ad. This way the people behind Adsense will get their content read, and you make a profit.

How To Make Money From Blogs
Posted on December 18, 2006
Making money from a blog requires skill, luck and work. In this article we describe how it can be done.
Let’s first look at the sources of revenue which are available for blog authors.
Ads
By placing ads on a blog it is possible to generate revenue from visitors who click on the ads. The most common source for ads is Google’s AdSense. By signing up to Google AdSense and placing a small piece of code on your blog, Google will display their ads on your blog. Advertisers who signed up for Googles AdWords program pay Google for each click on ads and Google shares this revenue with blog owners displaying the ads. Google does not disclose how the revenue is shared – they encourage you to sign up and try it out so you can see how much you generate and then decide if it is for you or not. Google places ads on webpages so they match the content on the page. A blog about traveling would therefore attract ads for airplane tickets, hotels etc. Since Google shares their revenue with you and since you want to generate a lot of revenue, you need to produce content for which ads pay well. There are tools available for determining for which keywords there is the most competition among advertisers – content for such keywords will be content that generates the highest revenue. The revenue generated per click can be anywhere from a few cents to several dollars, depending on the advertiser competition. Normally, relatively few visitors to a website or blog will click on ads. There are ways to optimize a blog or website for achieving higher click through rates. You will be able to find varied (and sometimes contradictory) advice on what is the best strategy. Follow the links below, to sign up for Google’s AdSense and for tools for finding the keywords for which there is a lot of advertiser competition.
Affiliate programs
Affiliate programs are a type of partnership, where are seller of a product shares the revenue generated from a sale with the affiliate who sent the customer to the seller’s website. The percentage of revenue given to the affiliate can be from a few percent to as much as 75 percent. Affiliate programs are often supported by the company handling the online payment, who then takes care of paying the commission to the affiliate the minute the customer makes payment. An owner of a blog can become an affiliate of one or more sellers and send visitors to the sellers’ websites, thereby generating revenue for the owner of the blog. Affiliate links (i.e., links from the affiliate to the sellers’ websites) are easier to disguise as normal links, than ads provided by Google. The affiliate can create the links, so the customer may not even notice that the affiliate is affiliated with the sellers’ websites. For this reason, a higher click through rate can be achieved this way than through ads. You can expect that only a few percent of visitors following your links end up making a purchase. So also for this option, a large amount of traffic is needed to generate good revenue. Follow the links below to learn more about affiliate programs and how to find products to promote.
Getting traffic
No matter which option for revenue you choose, the key to generating serious money is to get serious amounts of visitors for the blog. This means that your blog needs to be interesting for the reader and not just look like something made for you to make money. For this reason, you need to keep the amount of ads and affiliate links to a minimum. You need to produce content which appeals to readers and to add new posts regularly to keep visitors coming back. Topics like politics, religion, gaming, gossip, arts, sports - to name just a few – seem to be popular topics. You need to select a topic which you yourself find interesting as this will make it easier for you to write articles that others will find engaging too. Blogs with a good amount of graphics seem to attract more visitors than blogs with a small amount of graphics. Besides having a blog which is interesting and make visitors return, you can get visitors using advertising, link building and other techniques used also for “normal” websites.
