A few examples of phrases entered into Google us. Crawling websites does not happen the way it used to. Google will analyse your website and determine the theme. Once this has happened and your site passes the quality scoring you will be indexed in the appropriate themed category in the Google Search Engine index.
Once a snapshot of your website is taken it is compared to other documents that are confirmed as expert documents. It is believed this processed is a combination of human and algorithmic review. Ultimately your website is given a quality score which is instrumental in your website ranking. Your choice in words (terminology) will be considered as knowledgeable (expert) or otherwise. This is why I believe content writing is so harmonious to website success.
It is not necessary to become and expert in LSI and co-occurrences but if you know the very basics it can put you light years ahead of your competition in natural search engine results. This is just 1 of many algorithms that Google employs to help keep the internet a cleaner place. I am not suggesting for a moment that we can exploit it but I am saying we can leverage the knowledge into profits.
It is entirely up to you how you sculpt your website. I can only tell you what I have discovered form talking the majority of your time in the research phase instead of development phase.
